The model

Tadokome acts as independent lead advisor — coordinating ground teams, geologists, legal, and ESG specialists, each contracted per project. We take no equity, operate no mines, and employ no technical staff, delivering continent-wide execution with zero conflicts of interest.

01 — Why these six countries

Africa's top mineral exporters by global rank.

Not random geography. Proven production and export infrastructure in copper, gold, and uranium.

DRCCopper
#2 globally
$19.8B exports — ~3.4M tonnes (2025). Africa's largest copper producer, behind only Chile worldwide.
ZambiaCopper
#8 globally
$7.6B exports — ~1.1M tonnes (2024). Africa's #2 copper producer after the DRC.
GhanaGold
Africa #1
$11.64B exports. Africa's #1 gold producer.
NigerUranium
#7 globally
~4,000+ tonnes/year. The only uranium producer in our portfolio — strategic for the energy transition.
ZimbabweGold
Fastest growing
36.48 tonnes (2024 record, +21% YoY). The fastest-growing gold producer on the continent.
MozambiqueGateway
Emerging
A strategic regional gateway with growing mineral output and port infrastructure serving landlocked producers.

DRC and Zambia together account for roughly half of Africa's copper, a $35B market. Ghana and Zimbabwe are the continent's top and fastest-growing gold producers. Niger is its only major uranium producer in our portfolio.

02 — What we do

End-to-end advisory, from origination to off-take.

Origination & inspection

Source opportunities and filter them through an inspection gate for geological, legal, and commercial viability.

Investment structuring

Design the capital framework, deployment plan, operator contracts, and performance KPIs.

Legal & regulatory

Coordinate jurisdiction-specific mining counsel for concessions, permitting, and compliance.

Exploration & oversight

Contract independent ground teams and third-party geologists for exploration and production oversight.

Operator selection

Evaluate, contract, and monitor mining operators against production, cost, and timeline KPIs.

Government relations

Manage ministry-level relationships to support permits and reduce regulatory risk.

ESG & community

Engage communities via in-country specialists and support genuine sustainable development.

Off-take coordination

Coordinate off-take pathways with established counterparties, subject to commercial terms.

01
No equity, no conflicts

We take no equity stakes and operate no mines. Our only interest is the success of your project, not our portfolio.

02
Principal-led execution

Senior principal involvement throughout — not junior staff. Direct access to decision-makers at every stage.

03
Continent-specific depth

We cover six of Africa's leading mineral jurisdictions. We know the ground, the ministries, the counterparties.

04
Deep specialization, not breadth

Africa's six best jurisdictions for three commodities — copper, gold, uranium — with independent validation at every stage.

04 — The network

Specialists contracted per project, not retained on payroll.

Every specialist is contracted for the specific project they are best suited to. Identities and affiliations are withheld by design.

05 — Leadership
Christopher Wayne Lyon

Christopher Wayne Lyon

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

A senior investment and government-relations executive with 20+ years at the intersection of critical-minerals policy and capital — across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Caribbean. His career spans sovereign negotiation, cross-border joint-venture structuring, and the management of complex stakeholder relationships in politically sensitive environments.

His path began in U.S. public service and electoral politics before moving into international trade and resource finance — first bridging Chinese state capital into West African mining, then advising Caribbean and Latin American clients on China-facing market access and venture structuring. That blend of political fluency and deal execution is the foundation of Tadokome's advisory model.

A World Nuclear Fellow (World Nuclear University, in partnership with Oxford, 2010) with deep expertise in uranium supply chains and critical-minerals strategy. Multilingual across English, Chinese, French, and Spanish.

Selected track record

Core role in a landmark multi-hundred-million-dollar Chinese state-owned investment into West African uranium, including the sovereign joint venture behind a national uranium mine.

Structured a uranium joint venture with an Australian resources group and supported partnership with a listed uranium explorer in the same basin.

Directed on-the-ground operations for a listed iron-ore venture in West Africa through a critical China-backed financing milestone.

Negotiated off-take agreements with East Asian counterparties across uranium and bulk commodities.

Advised sovereign governments and policy institutions on strategic investment frameworks and multilateral positioning.

Began in U.S. public service — congressional and municipal government, and large-scale civic campaign operations.
